Such A Pretty Face was conceived from a blood ritual to summon Baphomet. After frontman Jarrod "Jarhead" Ajhar sold his soul to the devil, he wiped out on the floor of the High Street subway station and his vision became blurry and confused. The floors of the hospital shone like the sun, a sickly grin plastered his face while they scanned for cracks in his skull.
Jarhead, alone and desperate, bawling his eyes out, took the opportunity and used the CT scan and 3D printing technology to make a mask of his face. The band was born.
Such A Pretty Face blurs the lines between magic and psychedelic, creating a unique sound using an unconventional combination of instruments mixed with technology invented by members of the band. The seven person band, hiding behind masks, has the power to bring an audience to tears with their grandiose sound and psychedelic prismatic visuals. Their sound has been described as psychedelic prog-folk shoegaze with emotional and existential lyrics, comparable to bands like Radiohead and Pink Floyd.
Every member of the band is a passionate and experienced musician who adds their own flair to the music they play. As well as playing original music, they usually spend a small portion of the show jamming and performing magic tricks to break up the emotional onslaught of the music.
Every single show is like a Polaroid, a snapshot of a moment that will never be recreated the same way again.
